Dr. Laura Travers Heinig is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her doctoral training at Rowan University. Her research during graduate school focused on women within midlife, chronic pain, daily pain experiences, physical activity, social comparisons, and the relations between PTSD and pain among older adults. She completed a masters degree in Health Psychology at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, which has since become a part of St. Joseph’s University. While there, she also completed a certificate in Health Education and Communication with an emphasis on health literacy. Dr. Travers Heinig completed over 3,000 hours of training at the Corporal Micheal J. Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center (also referred to as the Philadelphia VA) and spent additional time training with Bancroft NeuroRehab. She has completed multiple workshops, seminars, and didactics in addition to receiving one-on-one supervision in specific behavioral rotations.
